David Prescott is, by birth, a national of the United Kingdom and he is a naturalized citizen of the United States. His early education was completed in England at Rossall School and International Study Centre. (http://www.rossall-isc.org.uk) His adult education was completed in the United States.

Prescott has been licensed to practice law in California since 1970 and has been both a Deputy District Attorney and Deputy Public Defender. He also has had extensive litigation and trial experience as a private practitioner and has litigated cases and conducted trials involving charges from minor misdemeanors to murder in the first degree (the killing of a police officer). In addition, he has litigated cases and conducted trials of complex personal injury cases and business disputes, including the representation of the President of one of the world’s largest re-insurance management companies in an action against his former employer and he has handled complex real estate matters, including cases in which fraudulent transactions were alleged.

In addition, Prescott has handled a significant number of cases at the appellate level and he spent two years exclusively practicing appellate law under special appointment to the Fourth District Court of Appeal in San Diego, California. He has on four occasions filed petitions for hearing (2 civil and two criminal) before the California Supreme Court.

In addition to his experience as a trial attorney, Prescott has had extensive academic experience as the Associate Academic Dean of UWLA Law School and what is now Trinity International University College of Law and he has taught constitutional law, torts (civil wrongs not arising out of contract) and legal analysis and writing. In addition, he has made several presentations and published over 50 articles relating to the subject of law, medicine and chiropractic, including a presentation at the 20th Annual Healthcare Law Symposium at Whittier Law School in April, 2001.

While at UWLA, Prescott was responsible for developing that school's paralegal program and he served as the first Dean of the paralegal school. The UWLA school of paralegal studies was the first school in the United States to offer a comprehensive curriculum in paralegal studies and Prescott handled the process with the American Bar Association that resulted in that curriculum being the first such curriculum to receive approval (along with 6 other schools) by the A.B.A.. He also had the primary responsibility for the preparation and presentation of the application for approval by the State of California to offer the paralegal program and the application with both the California Council on Postgraduate and Vocational Education and with the State Bar of California by what is now Trinity International University College of Law for the right to offer the doctor of jurisprudence (law) degree.

David Prescott received his B.A. degree in 1965 from California State University, Long Beach; his J.D. degree (with honors) in 1969 from California College of Law, and an M.A. (Summa Cum Laude) in Law and Theology in 1984 from Trinity International University School of Law in association with the University of Strasburg, France. He also holds a postgraduate diploma from the University of San Diego School of Law in the Philosophy of Law. He earned his Doctor of Chiropractic degree (Cum Laude) from Cleveland Chiropractic College, Los Angeles in 1989 and he is a Fellow of the International Academy of Medical Acupuncture.
