Report of Findings

Many doctors see the need to improve patient education so the patient fully understands what chiropractic means to them and their family.

Once a patient understands chiropractic, their commitment for care is greater and they become advocates for chiropractic. The way the Prescott Group’s clients educate patients is very different.

Our Report of Findings is an educationally based Report of Findings.

  • Some doctors have a tendency to do most of the talking or lecture their patients.
  • The error most doctors make in a Report of Findings is not so much in the content but the manner in which one educates the patient.
  • When our clients educate the patient, the patient does most of the talking. We teach the client how to consult a patient’s understanding.
  • We direct the patient’s attention and get the patient to come to their own conclusion on what chiropractic is and how it helps them.

In this way, the Report of Finding addresses the individual. The Report of Findings may vary from one individual to another.

The key to a Report of Findings is: What does your patient really understand?

The patient will show you what they understand by their actions:

  • Accepting your care plan
  • Keeping on their schedule
  • Referrals

Our Report of Findings educates the patient to understand chiropractic. You’ll see the patient grasp the meaning of it and change right in front of your eyes!

Earlier this year I had an opportunity to attend a business forum hosted by a member of the Maryland Chiropractic Association. I arrived late for the meeting, after all the introductions had been done and after the main topics had begun being discussed. As I sat there, looking at all the doctors I didn’t know, and trying to orient myself to the space, I had a good feeling about the place. After the meeting, the doctor gave us all a tour of his office, and everything was so thoughtfully laid out that I knew I needed to talk to him. As everyone was saying their “thank you” and “goodbye”, I took the opportunity to ask the doctor if he was a genetically gifted organizer or if he had some help in the level of organization in his office. He laughed and said that he had lot of help and then gave me the name of the Prescott Group.

Many phone calls and much investigation later, I decided to join the Prescott Group.

My practice has changed dramatically since that time. We are up over 100 patient visits per week since joining. The biggest change for the positive has been with the way I do my report of findings. The ROF is much more fluid and understandable now. It is performed in a manner that the patients can follow, and allows them to make decisions on whether or not to accept care based on a more complete understanding of their overall condition. It has been very effective.

There have been other benefits to our office as a result of joining, but the ROF training seems to have provided the most immediate positive response. The patients are here now because they have a full understanding of what is wrong, and they themselves, based on that understanding, have decided to be a patient here. They are not here just because I threw up some films, lectured to them, and told them that they should. The patients are happier than ever, and more motivated to get better. My staff has noticed subtle positive changes in the kind of people we are attracting to the office now. Our patient referrals are much higher than they have ever been. The office is a lot more fun, and I feel like I have a lot more control over my future.

You won’t find pep talks and rah-rah here. If you are looking for a group who is dedicated to teaching you ethical, repeatable ways to grow a happier, healthier, more prosperous patient-centered office, then call the Prescott Group.

Warm professional regards,
